Family: Married, Jan and Dave have just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary (2004). Their son, TD lives in Forth Worth, Texas and they have two young granddaughters.
Interests: Collector of License Plates. Member of the Oregon Trail Association. Enjoys golf and is involved with Church activities

Dave first started to play the trumpet in 1948 and continued until he graduated from high school in 1956 and during that time he also played in small groups. He did take some piano lessons as a young boy but preferred to play the trumpet. After reading about DFNHB in the paper in 2003 coupled with their recent move to Arizona, Dave decided to dust off his trumpet to join the band.
