Occupation: Human Resources and Benefit manager for family business. Now works part-time as a bookkeeper and web administrator for her husband's company.
Family: Married to Kal, who has a passion for G-guage model trains. Barbara works with him maintaining the layout and scenic gardens. They have three daughters and two very musical grandsons.
Interests: Reading, crocheting, hiking up at their cabin, going to plays and concerts. Member of the Glendale Community College Band and also the Glendale Summer Band

Barbara joined DFNHB in 1999 soon after she started to learn the oboe, and only a year later she added the English Horn to her skills. Her first instrument was the violin when she was 10, and three years later she took piano lessons. In her final years of high school she played the viola in the school orchestra. She and Kal love to travel.
