SAVVY SENIORS
Savvy Seniors is an adjunct
to Cyberspace Seniors. This General Issues Discussion List opened on April
29, 1996 , and will continue as long as it serves a useful purpose. There
is no charge for membership or participation.
Because all messages are
exchanged by e-mail, applicants should be familiar with sending and receiving
messages using a mailing program such as Eudora or via the mail function
of their browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer.
This List deals with current
general issues. Therefore, everyone is required to be extra polite and
respectful to each other. Everyone participating in this discussion list,
Savvy Seniors, must adhere to Netiquette protocol: no name calling, flaming,
political diatribes or behavior that is considered improper for a group
of intelligent, mature, and thoughtful adults.
In addition to being mature
and thoughtful, we are also caring and compassionate and on occasion, participate
in a Heart-to-Heart project offering good will and moral support to members
in need.
At any one time, there may
be many subjects being discussed at the same time, for example, education,
medical issues, race relations, etc. Among the topics we do not discuss
are partisan politics, religion, or hobbies, but are open to all other
other topics that have some relevance to life in the United States or the
world.
Savvy Seniors members are
considered part of the CyberSpace/SavvySeniors family and will be included
in all meetings, membership discussions, etc.
If you are interested in
participating in Savvy Seniors, please send a request for a membership
