Mission Statement:

To enhance the Ocotillo master planned community and surrounding neighborhoods by identifying and communicating concerns, facilitating quality planning and zoning and preventing harmful and disruptive invasions into the area.

Goals:

Traffic should not exceed the limits of a four lane road
Encourage diverse, low volume business development
Encourage the architectural quality to be of the standard as modeled by the Ocotillo Golf Clubhouse
Prevent unacceptable planning from negatively impacting the neighborhood and it’s residents
Businesses approved for the area should be those with histories of low crime statistics
The proximity of elementary, middle, and high schools should be of primary concern in the approval of any business development in the area
Child safety and high quality residential life must be valued above all considerations for business
Encourage businesses that enhance a residential living environment

Problem Statement:

The Ocotillo master planned community and surrounding residential neighborhoods are being negatively impacted by the City of Chandlers disregard for uncontrolled growth and intensive traffic in the immediate area. Current plans and proposals for development at the intersection of Alma School and Queen Creek roads will result in this becoming one of the most intensively stored areas in Chandler or metropolitan Phoenix.

Issues of Concern:

Crime
Safety
Beautification of Neighborhood
Traffic
Quality of Life
Congestion (e.g. pedestrians, loitering)
Property Values
