Land Use Element Document

Here are some  pages  of the Chandler Land Use Element Document. Its part of the City of Chandler's General Plan. Policy 1.1-1 states application for use permits must be consistent with the LUE.  As you can see there is a flagrant violation of the plan which states  ...... "No more than two corners at major intersections not designated as commercial nodes shall be developed with retail neighborhood or community  shopping centers."

Also note there is no commercial node designation for the Area of Queen Creek & Alma School, however there is a commercial node designation on Arizona avenue. Look here. Neighborhood shopping centers are defined as 30,000 to 140,000 this Wal-Mart is over 200,000 square feet. Is the City serving the purposes of this community??? Take a look here.
