Katie has been dancing for 13 years and has been a company member of Ballet Etudes for six years. Having first performed in The Nutcracker when she was 8 years old, she has danced the roles of Little Doll, Baby Mouse, Gingerette, Party Girl, Bon-Bon, Junior Flowers, Demi-Soloist Snow, Chinese, Senior Snow, and Bon-Bon Fairy. Katie has danced in a number of other Ballet Etudes’ productions, including as an Indian Maiden in Peter Pan, Gnome and Bird in Cinderella, Terra Firma and Farandole which were performed at Arizona Celebrations of Dance, and Can-Can which was performed at The Phoenix Symphony’s New Year’s Eve gala. During the last few summers, Katie attended various summer intensive programs, including American Ballet Theater in Alabama and Texas. This past summer she attended the Joffrey Workshop in San Antonio, Texas. Katie says her experience at the workshop inspired her to work towards becoming a professional dancer and solidified her love of dancing ballet.
